A former mill dating from the nineteenth century, set in Vinci just steps from Leonardo da Vinci’s birthplace, in the heart of the historic Via dei Mulini.

Surrounded by unspoilt woodland and streams, the Mulino della Beccaccia stands in the very landscape that inspired Leonardo from his earliest years. Here the young genius studied the flow of water, the plants and the wildlife — observations that would profoundly shape his thinking and his work.

Today this space is being reborn as an exclusive residence devoted to the highest level of hospitality. The restoration will preserve the building’s historic identity while creating five independent suites, each with private facilities and every modern comfort.

Outside, the nature trails still follow the course of the water, inviting you to slow down, to observe, to rediscover a different sense of time.
